A question for the ones with local knowledge.
I am looking at extending my normal loop (as posted earlier), anyway.
Is the path from the A54, heild end farm/Tagsclough hill going to Burntcliff Top best rode North to South or vica-versa.

Looking at going up 3 shires, cut thorn, left at A54, then path to Burntcliff-Gradbach or just road back up to cut thorn?

IMHO it works best North-South. There's a pull up from the A54 (on tarmac) and then a run over the top on mixed surface before a nice drop down to the Gradbach road.
