It's been done before, mainly on dh bikes. Personally thing it must be a pain the backside, two innertubes to carry just in case for both wheels.

They have charts on their website showing all the various combos and what effect they would have.

I'd go larger at the front than back, though.

It's been done before by both trek and spesh. If different wheel sizes for a bike are going to catch on I think it'll be within a model range, it small and extra small having 26, medium 650b and large 29...

was wondering seeing their new "concept" at the eurobike...
during the last years, changings and progression of their frames were for me always well thought, carefull and ..in a positive way..slow..
this year everything seemed a bit strained and confused..lots of charts,..arguing..explaining and even wheelbarrows to convince the people from their new system...
