A mate has one of those Saris track rails bolted to a wooden box, in his van.

Interested to see if anyone has made their own incarnation just using the hub mounts?

Wondering if I can get something to fit in the back of my civic tourer, it would have to sit in the secret compartment of the boot. Which isn't that wide.

you could make something very similar to the above with some 40x120 Aluminium profile, or even 80x40 profile if you don't need a 3rd rail. add a fork mount

Ive two of those fork mounts I made a few years back and never used.
QR in then atm but easy enough to swap

No pictures but we use a pair clamped to the bed frame when we're in the camper with all 4 bikes ( we only have a 4 bike rack)
