We were up there yesterday. There were patches of ice on the red and black that were pretty lethal. It's snowed down here in Manchester so I'd give the quarry a miss today.
Was there yesterday as well. Lovely cold and crisp with random patches of deadly ice.

No snow up there. As people say there is the odd patch of ice on the Red. Not too much of it and you can ride over most of it, with care, or because you don't see them in time!
The Black is well iced up.
The rest of it is dry, hardpack. really nice and fast rolling. You could just imagine what it's like in the summer with dust in the air....just about imagine.
