[Closed] Leaking motion control damper

My forks have biiig incontinence problems when they're turned upside down (+/- 2007 Boxxers) - all the oil wees out from around the motion control damper.

I think this *might* be secondary to be toying with the circlip on the floodgate whilst trying to take them apart. Assume I've disturbed a seal?

TFT don't sell new kits (not that I can find) but am happy to go searching for o-rings...if I knew what to search for. Any suggestions?

May be a similar problem as here?: http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/revelations-leeking-around-motion-control

Mine did the same and the fix was similar to doug_basqueMTB above. The umbrella seal should stop the oil getting to the top cap in the first place.

Cheers chaps, thanks for the tips. I'll give it a shot this weekend & get a seals kit if I need one... I presume TFT do them but I can find anything on their website....? Maybe a quick phone call.

I think that TFT do an improved seal kit. Worth speaking to them, they're very helful.
