Yeah not the best route at this time of year Ben - not the most enjoyable and it causes a fair bit of damage too. (Unless it's below freezing of course, in which case, fill yer boots!)

Nah I'll stick to the rocky stuff. I tend to avoid the gloop through winter as the trails just get wider and wider and come summer there are just massive wide paths as opposed to singletrack. Unless it's frozen.

Its bad at the moment, even the all weather bit at the bottom langsett side is gloop. I abandoned a ride there a couple of weeks back, went back for a run and lost my trainers in the mud several times.

I rode north america in about september. It was wrecked then, and all it's done is rain since. Shame really as NA was one of the peak's best bits of singletrack

Chris, we are having a little run out Friday night at 6 Dore/Totley station if you fancy it. Shouldn't be too muddy.
