Need insurance for 2 bikes, 1 custom build and an Ebike that's stock

How do I value the custom one? What proof do they need of purchase, will photos do?
Bought a 2nd hand bike, stripped it, bought some new bits, some second hand bits etc. Value to rebuild £3500 ISH

Photos of all of it to prove you own it. If you have invoices/receipts, scan them + upload, too

Re price: Tot up all the components at *current* RRP replacement value

Valuing at second hand / mate's rates is under-insuring and is fraud

On the plus side, I personally three (myself included) people who have had write-offs, who insured with Laka properly, and we've all had a brand new high spec bike / replacement land on our doorsteps within a week or so, very minimal fuss...

Laka then take your broken bike off you to salvage and sell what they can. Well they used to anyway, can't see why they still wouldn't

Laka did a guide a while ago this explained how they expect you to value bikes including custom builds. This should take you to it

So I've gone in and done it 👍 only thing I'm now being blind to is security at home, how do the bikes need to be secured when at home?

Yikes! Had a quick look at Laka. Annual cost around £400-£500 once I added on the 6 bikes in the shed.

I'll carry on self insuring.
