Which knee warmers (not leg warmers) can folk recommend?
Cheers

Do they restrict pedalling at all - you know, make it more difficult because they're tight?
Mine are hand made using Marmot fur and Quales feathers.
Defeet are brilliant but not exactly robust so if you ride on trails with lots of gorse/brambles then they will quickly start to look crap.
Gore stuff works well. I've got some Endura ones that are quite short (just cover the knee and no more) but functionally OK.

BIG Thumbs up from me. I bought the full length leg warmer version though, but the knee length will be superb too.
They're no tighter than an equivalent lycra 3/4 short, or anything else that hugs the skin. ie. you'll be fine!
They also feel most excellent when you're wearing them, I don't want to take mine off after a ride (Or should I not admit to that?) cos they feel so nice!
@ bonesetter...no,no restrictions at all.The leg gripper is tight enough for them to stay in place but not tight enough to be restrictive, you know what I mean.Agree with mboy, they are super toasty.
kyle straits?

Ooohh, fleece lined 😀 I'm sold (as i can't find SSStu's supplier of fur & feathers lined ones)
Cheers all
i got some endura ones they're great, not restrictive at all just comfy as
Endura something or others here too. Cheap and not at all restrictive - you don't notice you're wearing them. Well apart from the fact your knees are warmer, and they remain clean at the end of a ride.
Troy Lee Lopes knee socks without the shin guards.
Lusso Roubaix ones here, very comfy and surprisingly durable AND warm! Not too pricey either.

Honestly, you'll find yourself making excuses not to take them off after a ride 😳
FWIW, I bought the full leg version rather than the knee only, but that was mainly driven by the thought that I'd rather cover my legs fully so they don't get any mud on them so I am cleaner than if I bought the knee only version. It's the knees that get cold rather than your shins, so would reccomend the knee warmers to anyone that doesn't care about their shins being a bit muddy after a ride.
The fleece lining is lovely though. Can't believe I've been mountain biking for almost 15 years now and I only discovered leg/knee warmers a few weeks ago! I was tempted by a set of full length tights, but the ability to take them off if it warms up was just too appealing when compared with the inconvenience of a full tight if things got too hot.
I made my own..............

Yes, laugh if you like, but for me, early season ‘toothache of the knee’ is a thing of the past. Oh, hang on, you don’t think I wear them like that do you? No, I just pinned ‘em on the outside of my tights to show what they look like. Normally I just tuck them inside my tights, and the tights hold them in place. Simple! and they work brilliantly.
I made them from the hood of an old duvet jacket (you’d never guess would you), which means that they have a ‘hollofil’ insulating layer.
😀
ProBikeKit.coms own brand ones have done me fine. Once you get over the "looking like a roadie ponce" fear, they are some of the finest things I have bought
