You know that bit of local trail that just doesn't work (too boggy/unrideable step/branches in the way).

While its wet and miserable why not do a bit of pruning or a little drainage digging?

Keep it subtle and remember not to sanitise things too much! Is it unrideable or is it something you may be able to ride as you improve?

I spend many a winter hour walking the dog, tool in hand! Its become almost as satisfying as riding and come spring i have more lines/drops and choices every year. This way i never become bored of riding my local stuff.

Its then up to you if you keep it under your hat.

Big + to doing a bit of trail maintenance, Mugboo.
I do a little, but it tends more to the 'clipping back brambles in the summer months' end of the process.

Pennine - never seen it before your honour ๐Ÿ˜‰

Xherby - was it pink?

Basspine - it all counts

Buzz - do it, you won't regret it. Just remember, if you don't want dog walkers, etc, to ruin your handywork then have a good scout around for any natural features you can use and don't make too much of a mess.

Always walk the whole thing first as sorting half of it out only to find a section that doesn't work is painfull! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Its amazing whay you can achieve on a wooded hill with a decent rake.

Pennine/Mugboo,

I know it's only a pic of a small are but that looks like the woods round me - Lilland Lane/Field Lane area by any chance?

If so thanks for the trails, I love playing about in there.
