Firstly the front triangle of my Kona A was dying on me at Afan last weekend, then on Wednesday I noticed this crack in my fork's dropout whilst I was moving the front brake back onto my Unit (and the lower mounting hole's got a hairline crack too):
Then this happened to my handlebar whilst riding on Thursday:
And whilst swapping out the dodgy fork this morning I noticed this crack in the Unit (after wondering why the headset fell out with the fork):
So I just built Kermit (which, fortunately, was nestling in my basement waiting for the feared day):
I'll need a better fork, and I might get the frame painted a nice shade of brown...
You killed the Kona A in the end? Did it go at the dent in the top tube?
The A's cracked across the bottom bracket shell 🙁
Not stripped it down yet to see if there's any way of bodging a repair, but I'll keep my eyes open for a replacement front triangle!
