Morning.

Just wondering how common attempted scams are on here? Should they be reported?

Cheers.

If it's a registered user probably, if it's just somebody picking up your email from classifieds ads, not much you can do except not list an email and rely on the PM system. Being on the other side of the world I see a decent amount of spam posts that all get reported and sorted when the mods get up

Do you see a gap in the market on STW for this?

Why wouldn't you report it if someone has tried to scam you, they might try and scam others on here?

If the scam comes from a STW user then you can report it and maybe get some action.
If the scame comes from somebody not on STW collecting your email from profile/post (the common wanted ad stuff) then what's the point.

Had one yesterday on a set of forks I have in classifieds. Was the poor English, send big cheque to cash etc. style email.

I guess the simple answer is to not post an email and use the PM system
