I've just bought a pair and would like to get rid of the pop loc, so I can adjust compression and moco manually.

Is it possible to do this, and if so how do I go about it?

Cheers.

Yes it is. If you remove the damper cartridge from the top of the right hand leg you can open it up and remove the spring. The cap of the cartridge is a left hand thread though.

Once the spring is gone you can just use the standard top cap to adjust the damping or you can buy a new top cap with lever.

Yes its possible, new motion control knob kit (knob, o ring and screw) and unhooking the spring inside the motion control unit. See this thread complete with the awesome PeterPoddy guide
