Hi,

I will quite often go up from Castleford to Leeds and back on the canal path as a easy bit of not to muddy training. I have looked on the maps and can't see any obvious places that i could link to this to make it interesting. Does anyone know any decent singletrack in this area that would be possible to link up to this?

try a few loops round Rothwell country park, or head up to Temple Newsam, a few cheeky ways of getting there from Canal ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a look on http://www.badbrainsmbc.co.uk for the next Methley pootle

Plus 1 for Temple Newsam and surrounding area.

Mostly cheeky trails, some good night riding to be had, so long as you don't stray too far into E Leeds ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yep, this is the area I ride most weekends from Rothwell, usually down through fanny pit (rothwell country park), along the canal then off at Allerton by Water to Garforth on the old lines, through the golf course, back to Colton to Tempy then back through the country park. There's plenty of scope in Tempy alone, well worth an hour or two to explore.
