What to eat if you havent had chance to make anything for lunch ?

I can go into Asda or a standard sandwich shop.

Rotisserie chicken, plate full of beercan & egg ?

Buy a packet of beef mince and a plastic spork.

Enjoy.

Asda precooked chicken breast thingamys, and a big bag of salad. If you keep olive oil and balsamic vinegar at work, you're on to a winner.

A whole cooked chicken off the hot meats counter along with some raw vegetables of your choice. Or just go on a diet that you can stick to.

250g of tomatoes, hummous.
Would like to add some meat to that, but not easy, ime, at a super market.
Maybe some hand carved turkey breast off the bone from the deli ?.

Pack of watercress rocket and spinach salad, pack of smoked mackerel fillets, pack of precooked beetroot, sachet of balsamic dressing. Empty salad in bowl, tear mackerel into strips dice beetroot, squirt over dressing and toss salad. Job's a good 'un.

Houmous and carrot stick dippers in M&S, along with 3 bean salad.. or the potato/ham & egg salad (I know you aren't supposed to eat the potato but it's me oirish grandpappy telling me too, how can I say no??).

Wasabi peas are OK too I think?

Jumbo cod and chips from Armstrongs (finest chippy in Manchester). Buttered barmcake, full fat coke and a packet of sweet chiilli sensations crisps or a jumbo mars bar.

Sorry, is today not your "day off"?

LoL @ Bregante.

Today turned out to be, Baby gem lettuce, cherry toms, mackerel fillets and hummous.

Don't do days off anymore.

My food choices have evolved.
😉

But love the fact you're stuffing chips, bread, crisps, coke and mars bar into your gullett.
Very funny.
🙂

Pakora and Bhajis are made with gram flour - 100% chickpeas so OK. A lot of papadoms are made of lentil flour, as are some bombay mix.

We bought some brilliant falafel in a street market in London a few weeks ago - the guy had made them with black eyed peas. I made some myself - they were even nicer than the ones I do with chick peas or broad beans.

Roadkill's another option if there isn't a shop nearby.

Is beer allowed on the iDave diet or are you talking about the day off?
And couldn't today have been a day off?
