bearing in mind, that the numbers you'll get out of an i-phone will have almost no connection with reality.
we tested one at work, on a measurement granite bed that we know to be very level, the i-phone was registering 3degrees.
which is fine, if for the purposes of your measurement you can accept a 3 degree margin of error.

i have used this app and its pretty accurate, you have to calibrate it first
