In the manual of my forks it says to run 15-25% sag so how much is right how much do you usually run?

I run one third sag and keep the rebound on the slow side. Nice n plush that way and I get full travel. Always amazes me that people run big forks without ever achieving full travel.

I'm with Jim, I run 180mm 66's at about 35% sag, slow rebound

I always find 20-30% sag measured when sitting is far too much. I like mine to have about 30% when standing.

I'm with retro, the sitting sag is totally different to the "descending" standing sag. I set mine to 30% when stood as if DHing, this translates to about 10% when sat on my frame.

yep, I measure the sag when I've sat, then ridden stood up and stopped (without braking), then I measure the sag (sliding zip tie)

I set up my sag depending on the type of riding I'll be doing with my bike. If I'm XC lightweight racer type bike then 20% sag max is all that is needed, but I'd be using an 80-100mm max travel fork for that. If I'm all day riding trail type stuff then 20-25% max sag with a 100-130mm max travel fork and then if I have a big travel fork then I'm obviously wanting it for big hits and not an all day ride, I want plush performance so 30-40% on forks with 150mm + travel. Measure the sag with your weight, with pack on your back, sat on the bike. If I then want to reduce brake dive then I'd adjust the compression dampening, and the same with rebound.
Right travel for the task and right set-up for the terrain.
