UPDATE: Reviews section refreshed, redesigned, searchable: Go take a look
My Phaart Trump track pump mentioned earlier had been playing up recently, refusing to pump above ~40PSI on 45mm tyre with tube for example, I thought the little brass moving bit inside the pump head was sticking so I tried to remove it with some long nose pliers and a whole section came out... Pump appeared dead and the last week has driven me mad needing ~100+ topup strokes per tyre using my Zefel mini pump, I need a new track pump with a pressure guage!
I was looking at budget options, like the £22 Halfords, the SKS Air X Press 8.0 for ~£24 or the Joe Blow Sport Ex for ~£26 in sales.
But then I came across ~£50 track pumps with a second tubeless cylinder, not tried tubeless to date and now wondering should I get one just in case.
First world problem/dilemma of the day. 🤣
Your piston probably needs lubed.
And you can buy new heads.
2 x Park Tool mini-pumps (that aren't that mini, but are super reliable).
1 x Birzman mini-pump that's pocketable in a roadie jersey.
Track pump that lives in the shed.
Flextail electric pump, though that gets more use pumping up basketballs and footballs for the kids.
Shock pump that I've barely ever used and lives in the toolbox in the shed.
6 in total then!
