Honest gov, I was hardly breathing on it. Can not be the first to do this and I am stuggling to find a source of the bolts, (yet to ring Hope) CRC have whole thing but out of stock.

Current thoughts are to gently hacksaw in a cut and convert to screwdriver. Suggestions?

Any Hope dealer should have the latest Torx fittings as spares, the old ones round out easily as you've found. A needle file's a bit more controllable than a hacksaw if you're bothered about marking the cap when you slot the screw.Drilling the head off will usually leave enough of a stub to grip with good pointed molegrips, but i'd use that as a last resort.

Jim at OnePlanet adventure (Llandegla) sorted me out with a couple of spares from the service box, so any Hope dealer should be able to sort you out.

Just email Hope, they're superb to deal with.

Hope should be your first port of call, they almost always send out parts FOC for stuff like that, they're brilliant.

I've just had exactly the same problem. Chain Reaction have them in stock at the moment http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3265 but I'd agree with speaking to Hope first as they'll probably send you some FOC. As has been said, replacements are Torx fitting.

If it helps, I got the old ones out by cutting a slot in the top of each screw head with a junior hacksaw and then puting a wide but fine tipped screwdriver in...

Cut a slot with a hacksaw works - if you put two blades in the hacksaw you get a wider slot. cover the lid with gaffa tape to help stop it getting marked. The screws only need to be nipped up very gently
