I have a Hope Bulb front hub from 2005/2006 that I’ve been running with a 20mm maxle. I want to move to a standard 9mm QR but I can’t find an adaptor anywhere. Hope do an adaptor for their current generation of hubs and they look like they might fit. Anyone tried fitting these to an old Bulb hub, or know anywhere I could get an adaptor? Cheers.
Is your bulb six bolt or 5 bolt spider? I think the 6 bolt us common, but the 5 bolt were offset.
I think I have one of these.
It's a 2 piece axle that screws together?
I'll have a look tomorrow.
I don't think they will.
There was a thread about machining down a set of 15mm adapters to fit a bulb hub, something about a lip/shoulder miss match.
If its a 6 bolt rotor I have a genuine Hope one in the shed.
Just checked, my Bulb has a 6 bolt rotor
I don’t think they will.
They won't...
It’s a 2 piece axle that screws together?
...because of this.

I think the bearing offset and flange sizes were different between the Bulb and Pro2 so the adaptors were never cross compatible. It is pretty easy to get adaptors made up though.
6 bolt ?. Ive a new one here.
Are you on retrobike, cos i cant work the email thing here ?.

Slightly off topicish, but ive got a 10mm ti glide bolt through axle, thats the same 2 piece design. For years I've tried to find what frame was suppose to go into.Maybe that twin disc front or really early DH. If anyone has an inkling, would be good.
What I find really interesting about Hope is the way early design comes back years later. Take the standard hub spacers, plug in qr or bolt through, and first deputed on the Fatso 93 was it 😕
