Other half has just booked a week early June, we are staying in the north West of the Island.
Anyone visited Corfu and found anything decent to ride, any companies for bike hire, guiding etc?
Looking for a full day out or maybe two half days, will have a trawl of the web to see whats out there but if anyone else has been saves a whole load of time...
There must be some decent riding , the NW of the island has a large selection of very steep hills. It was a few years ago when I last went but as we were on an extended family holiday (10 of us , nightmare) I never looked into going for a ride. The hire shops only had very mediocre bikes so unless there's a firm doing rides I'd be wary of trusting the bikes.
Where you stopping? Sidari , Aghios Stephanos or Paleokastritsa(nicest)

We are stopping further south than i originally thought, small place called Ermones which is just south of Paleokastritsa.
The hotel offers "mountain biking" goole throws up a few companies which are offering different tours etc, but they dont look up to much.
Must be something good out there...
I was there 2 years ago, there's only one decent hire shop on the island, in Corfu town if I recall correctly.
I hired a crappy tourist "mountain bike" from a local company, it was pretty terrible, but I had a pretty good day on it, didn't find any trail that was too technical to tell the truth.
And as it was such a beast, didn't feel too guilty riding into the sea at the end!
