Hi All, just about to get a BFe (2nd hand off classifieds).

What size headset do I need?

Will a standard one fit?

What is a standard size?

I'm clue-less with headsets and all help is much appreciated.

"Seatpost diameter: 31.6mm (wise to get a decent length one)

Front Mech: 34.9mm (Top Pull)

Bottom Bracket width: 73mm

Headset: 1.125" only"

Standard 1 1/8th. Have a look at the component sizes near the bottom of the page.

Aaah OK

I thought that just meant to suit 1 1/8th fork steerer. I guess it also relates to the headtube size?

Yes otherwise it would not say 1 1/8th only? as an OS head tube would take and 1.5" and a 1 1/8" ๐Ÿ™‚

OK - got that bit.

So what's the difference between integrated and non-integrated then?

...can you tell by looking at the Cotic picture above which it is?

Its a std headset - There are 3 kinds.

Std - external cup like the hope one above
Semi-integrated (Zero-stack) - pushed in cups but recessed into head tube
Integrated - bearing just sit into head tube with just a top cap and crown race.

Hope have a good guide:
