Does anyone slightly over tighten their headset on purpose for a bit of steering dampening, I'm sick of my bars swinging around to easily especially when I'm getting the bike out or putting it away for example.

Yeah. Same for hubs, stops wheels spinning so much which is annoying.
Thick wax on gear cables gives thumbs a workout too.

Think canecreek does a steering dampener headset, I know what you mean, it's always when you need two pairs of hands that your bars decide to take a swing at you, but sarcy saddos have smelt blood and have nothing better to do.
