I've got a Giro Havoc and a Giro Monza - both size medium, and both about 2 years old. I've been trying new MTB Giro helmets recently and they seem to come up small? I don't think me head's changed much in that time (I passed puberty about 20 years ago) so has something altered in Giro land? The Animas that I tried was a totally different shape, and when I tried a Xen in a store, that fitted well - but I hummed, hahed then ordered it over the web a few days later, and the one that arrived was way too small.

I think the 2009 Xen fits ok, but I don't think the 2007 / 8 one that came was the same?

Is it just me...?

Not just you....

I have a 2006? Animas in medium, which tends to get done up quite tight, and ordered a 20088ish E2 and it was way too small... And i don't have a particularly large head...

Yep, switched to Bell myself - Giro helmets were the wrong shape now.

Karma for trying the shop's helmet then buying elsewhere? I've heard talk of staff swapping size labels to p**s off people who do this.

Coatesy - I didn't buy elsewhere - you've assumed that. I tried it in store then ordered from them online. You've assumed wrong - chill.

So saying - thanks for the helpful addition to the thread.

As the saying goes-never assume, if you assume then you make an ASS out of U and ME.:)
(original post was tongue in cheek, honest.)
