Hello, I have a replacement Stage 5 Orange frame, I'm really struggling with the internal routing of the gear cable and brake hose. The main issue is inserting the rubber grommets, I would really appreciate any tips, help or wisdom with this. Especially if anyone knows the correct method of completing this task. Thank you.
Found it impossible. I think you have to put the grommets in first and then thread the cables through.
No you can fit the cable first .slide the grommets over the cable and apply some Vaseline and they go in without any issue at all

I’ve always used silicone lube, the stuff you get for push fit waste pipe from Screwfix and others.
Leaving them in boiling water for a couple of minutes softens them up enough to go in relatively easily.
10 years after I last built an Orange I'm amazed that this is still an issue.
Mine arrives this week and whilst its a bit 'tricky', I remember doing my last one and its still no different to any other alloy frame without tube-in-tube.
Run a sacrificial gear inner through first, use that the route your outers. The grommets just push in bit by bit, warmed up makes it a bit easier.
Use lots of grease, and they should pop straight in.

OK, to be fair, most went in with a bit of a struggle (with a bit of light grease) but maybe some grommets were oversized or some holes undersized, as I have one stubborn little **** on each of my Oranges which just won't go.
mine didnt have anything at the hole where the brake line comes out of the swingarm to the caliper.
Took a 20mm electricians grommet and trimmed it down. Perfect job.
Most grommets on my Four went in with a bit of grease, but the brake hose chainstay exit grommet was impossible.
Have they improved the internal dropper routing yet, or is that still a disaster requiring bb removal, small fingers and endless swearing?
What happened to the original frame?
Did you have one that cracked or are you doing a new build / replacing frame from another bike?
I sent the original frame back to Orange due to paint blistering. Upon receipt Orange found cracks in the frame. Orange replaced the frame, excellent service, considering the Stage 5 is no longer in production. Thank you for your replies, everyone.
