I am quite proud of myself today.

I recovered a very very valuable stolen bike and it will be back with its rightful owner once the police have finished checking it over. 🙂

I was working in the shop when a guy pulls up in a transit van and pulls out a rather nice and expensive looking mtb.
He then asks for us to service the bike and set up the suspension for him.
I asked him what he had paid for it as I was suspicious. He tells me £900 last week, which I then realised it has to be nicked.
so I got his name and address and contact number.
after he left I rang the importer of the bike to check if any customers had reported the bike stolen, to which they told me that the one I had had been stolen last week, (after confirming the parts on it and the frame number)
They contacted the owner and the plod who came and took statements and the bike, confirming it will be back with a very happy owner.

Turns out it cost £14,000

For a MTB? The original owner was robbed twice.

That's ace! Maybe the tea-leaf will be on the end of some prison love before the year is out.
