Had to send my sd card with the proper OS maps in back to garmin to fix.
So looking to put the free openstreetmaps on my garmin while they fix it. Is there a simple guide on how to do it and where to download the maps etc?
Need Lake District off road trails for this weekend.

Yes - just make sure you put the card in the Garmin to create the correct folder structures before you copy across the img file.

Having used both the proper OS maps and the Talky Toaster maps I found the zoom detail much better on the TT maps.

Great sounds good - as even when i get my sd card back I'd like to use some of the French Alps maps when I go out there in the summer
