What happened to an old piece of inner tube bonded on, with a couple of cable ties for extra security, for a chain stay protector?

Pretty sure it's just the photo angle but somehow the forks on that otherwise lovely Pace look slightly steeper than the headset as if you've put a reverse slackerizer headset on. You didn't ride it into a wall did you? 😯

Chaos - I can see what you mean. But rest easy, it's an optical illusion combo of flared headtube, reverse arch fork and the front wheel being not quite square to the camera angle 🙂

I like the use of reverse arch forks on that build - a nice nod to Pace heritage :0)

The first thing is it looks terrible and secondly  even if you wrap it well water muck &  grit gets under there and just sits tyre lurking and I've seen a few chainstays corrode because of the moisture constantly sat there and yes alloy corrodes which is different to rust.

You don't have to stay in 1992 you know 😉

That might be the first appealing bike Pace have ever made.

I can't believe I'm saying this but that's a really nice chainslap guard. I love that they've made it look tyre-ish, that's both effective and clever.

I mean all of mine have 3m mastic tape on, which works just as well. But it's not as pretty
