can i fit a slightly longer shock on the rear existing one is 200 i2i the new one is 215 i2i

That entirely depends on your frame. There may not be space, depending on how your frame is designed. However, if the dimensions mean it will fit, there's no real dramas with the exception of the fact that it'll raise your bb a bit and steepen the seat and head angle. However, I'd check the stroke on the shock as well. If it's got a longer stroke then there is a danger that the wheel will come into contact with the frame at full compression. I personally wouldn't do it unless it was an emergency and I was only fitting it short term, like for a race.
