We will be in touch
Attempted a service on my Fox forks (float RL from 2010), just the usual seals and oil change. Once I've got everything back together the rebound adjuster won't turn.
Any ideas of what might have gone wrong/how to fix (other than send them to someone who knows what they're doing)?
You've jammed it by not holding the knob/preventing it from turning when you tightened or loosened it's bolt. If you're lucky you'll be able to free it off, if you're not you may break something expensive. If you have maximum rebound damping (very slow return) then you've jammed it when tightening, so need to try turning it anticlockwise, or vice versa if you have minimum damping.
That definitely sounds like what's happened (I wish they'd mentioned holding it it place when tightening in the service manual). Thanks.
In terms of freeing it off, do I just use force to turn in the appropriate direction (clockwise)?
Your choice, chances are it'll loosen ok, worked fine for my mate who probably followed the same instructions. I guess the other option is to send it to a specialist who'll use their expertise to minimise any chance of damage.
Sending the damper to Loco, thanks.
