Any tips on doing this without buying the tool, it's 30 quid I don't have and I'll only ever use it the once?

Either buy a 13 quid tool off ebay, or get a vice and two sockets. Postion a socket just smaller than the bush on one side, and one just bigger on the other, do vice up and bobs your uncle.
However, I'd strongly recommend the 13 quid ebay tool, as it makes it sooooo easy.

I bought the tool from Stephens cycles for £13.00. Same as those eBay ones I imagine. Get your mates to chip in..
