Have a Specialized Epic that has a RS Reba RL fork.
Looking to upgrade, noting the higher spec Epics come with a Fox 34 SC fork.
On a performance per $ basis is there a better choice than the Fox 34 SC in the RS range?
Issue with the Reba is damping, sure it’s a nice fork but it’s limited in performance
It's not the higher spec Epic, it's the Epic Evo that comes with the 120mm Stepcast along with wider bars, shorter stem, dropper etc.
If price is fairly even, I'd probably just go with the Stepcast 34. Seems to have great reviews and it's practically made for bikes like this.
I'm still considering fitting one to my Scott Spark RC eventually. They market the Epic Evo as more for a trail/marathon bike (which would be perfect for me) and it would still be very capable at an XC race.
