Offbeat bikes have a pretty good range of stock, don't know about repairs though as i've never needed them whilst i've been up there.

If you go in at 9am and look like you'd like to get out on a ride and ask them if they can do the work ASAP, then they will have your pants right down in my experience.

Went in with a broken free-hub a few years ago. A £10 part cost me £25, plus £20 for labour, then they charged another £20 for 'emergency' labour. Although that was supposed to fast-track it, the mechanic carried on building his latest delivery of Giants for sale, then did it a few hours later, so I got out about 1pm.

Having replaced a free hub myself in not many minutes it's fair to say I wasn't impressed.

Offbeat Bikes has closed down. Nevis Cycles at the far side of town is still open though, and they have an outlet up by the ski centre too.

Just noticed the op says "for a couple of weeks" 8O. There's tremendous riding around but it's not the nicest place.

Bike shop in F Bill is a bit tired, or at least it was when i went up at the end of last season. My mate wanted some knee pads and they didnt have any - the whole town is a bit tired tbh.

Off Beat were alright for me, they took a mech hanger off a display bike to sell to me.

Yeah, Off Beat (the branch in town) were great for me, they couldn't actually fix my problem properly so they came up with an excellent bodge, and then said "No charge, it's a bodge" even though they'd used up some stock to do it. Very cool.
