I've have the option to buy a demo bike with the above fork on. On the brief test ride it felt decent enough but having search online there is very little info or reviews on it. I'm not going to be doing anything too extreme but I'm a big unit, 120kg, so has anyone had personal experience of these forks ?

I believe the guys at Mojo Rising / Geometron Bikes, who are the Formula suspension importers, have arrived at the point where they have the Selva working really well nowadays, word is it now beats a Lyric RC2 which is saying a lot.
Have a word? Friendly bunch
Maybe get it serviced with any mods they do.

Tick - interested in this after trying and failing, to get a Mezzer made after the early batch with the "teething" troubles.

Probably a very good option for a big lad because you can swap out the compression stack for one designed to suit a bigger rider, they just unscrew from the top of the fork and you screw in a replacement.

While I'm not big or heavy, I've tried the selva and it's absolutely amazing (comparing to Lyrik and Pike with various luftkappe upgrades).

It felt supple, supportive and composed. If I had the funds, I'd happily change to these on my bikes.

Also, while he's not necessarily that heavy, Joe Barnes uses them and I'm fairly sure he'll be hitting stuff quite hard.

The colour is amaze-balls.

How do those CST cartridges work? They look too small to contain a shim stack.

Not the full stack, I guess, but enough of it to change characteristics.

I run a Formula Selva on my Propain Tyee and it works well for me. Nice and supple but can take the big hits as well. I weigh about 110kg fully kitted up.
