After a long break i am returning back to mountain biking and have bought a 2nd hand fsr xc stumpy frame and am looking for a fork to suit.I just wanna roll around some of the trails around where i live..nothing too heavy. Can i expect a decent fork for between £200-£300 with 20mm axle size (hubset dictates).Would i be better trawling eBay and if i buy 2nd hand which would be easier to service..?

Cheers

You can but shouldn't.
Yes, you would.

I have bought two forks secondhand at that price point and both have been fine. A set of pikes and a set of zocchi Z1s.

I bought them off here making sure it was someone known or that I could pick them up in person. E bay is a bit of a risk for something that wears. Go for a fork with a good reliability reputation like the older 'zocchis. Servicing most forks is easy - getting spares if you need to repair can be trickier.
