Possibly a stupid question...
When changing travel length on pikes, why / how does the same airshaft give different travel for different wheel sizes? Like this:

Surely the travel is amount the lowers slides over the stanchions, I don't see why it's different with different wheel sizes.
I have some 150mm pikes with 27.5+ wheel and a set of 140mm pikes with 29" wheels. If I swap the wheels, the travel surely doesn't change?!
