rode some of that new bit they've been building over the last few months, it may be a blue or 'easy' but its quite good fun and flows nicely, well done to all involved! We then headed off for some other stuff, some of it known well some of it not ๐Ÿ˜‰ oh and a stop off in the Fountain Inn ๐Ÿ˜€

Some family track isn't it? We did see a couple of families with young kids on it but I reckon it's going to well used by those who like the fast smooth berms and whoops. Me. My arms are knackered after 3 times down on rigid forks.
Its even fun though on the SS Cx bike but air of the whoops is worrying on the skinny carbon forks. How long before some one goes over a berm? I have been close several times over the last week or so. I wonder if the FC will give up and call it open before the official date. 22nd of July the builders told me.

Good to see my local trails getting some 'air time'....

(That super-wide-angled view makes it look like there are two different people each holding one end of the bars!)

Yup, Rollercoaster and Dowies were in there, would have the MC trail too but couldn't be arsed as the cold drinks in the pub were calling ๐Ÿ˜‰

You should have seen the kid in our group. He tried to launch the table top at the bottom of Ski Run and land on the transition of the jump to left. Accounts vary but it looks like he cleared about 30 foot before flat landing and exploding. Put a nasty gash on his arm but he bandaged it up and carried on!

We spoke to him as he walked past our red van asked him whether he needed patching up!, seemed ok though

New owner trying to make his money back??

xcgb, yeah some good DH trails there, we tend to ride them once on the way back in to the carpark rather than spend the day 'sessioning' them.

Good for you xcgb! Never to late to get bitten by the gravity bug and FOD is a great place to learn, although they have introduced some tasty jumps recently.

There was one group of guys stood by one of the bigger table tops that had 'that look' in their eye (like black holes in the sky....) as we came over it.

Looks like there is a whole lot more to discover round there next time, are there any trailmaps available anywhere?
