What should I be looking for?

Want something to compliment the mountain bike (which is only possible at the weekend) and my current running habit (4 days a week)

So basically something to fill in the other couple of days.

Pround owner of a Voodoo Bizango (albeit a slightly upgraded beast now)

Been looking at Boardman CX Comp, and a couple of others - came across this:

What do people recon?

I've got a CX comp and have nearly put a couple of thousand miles into it in just over a year. It's my favourite bike - more through the versatility rather than the spec.
Straight out of the box, it's heavy and slow with poor brakes but with the 10% BC discount, quidco and a 10% off flash sale I got it for £450 ish.
I've spend a lot upgrading it (Kinesis Crosslight Disc wheels, carbon seatpost, charge saddle, TRP Spyre brakes, ceramic BB, Tiagra chainset).
I use continental cyclocross speed tyres off road generally but am using Panaracer Gravel Kings at the moment for more road based stuff.

Only now, do I think it rides well.

My point is, cheap bikes are cheap for a reason. Considering the £4-500 i've spent, i'd have probably been better off to go for something better to start with.

Check out the Pinnacle Arkose range and Planet X/On One....

What's your budget? Given you have looked at the Boardman you may spend a bit more so you could be looking at a Genesis CDA or Pinnacle Arkose.

the CDA is also on my list (although very top end of budget) but i have to say I'm leaning towards it.

I have had the CDA 10 for a couple of months and love it.
