.. for a mates wife. Just so she can pootling round the country lanes with him when they go away camping. There both around 70, and he's not managed in 50 odd years to convince her to take up cycling properly, so something with electric assistance is required.
I've no idea on any of the options, so any pointers I can relay to them would be great (they understand it not going to come cheap)

kalkhoff do a ace range, which include stepthru models for older folk to cope with.
