I am thinking of a trip in September and want to fly from Bristol. Riviera Bikes in Molini are an option, for various reasons SwitchBacks and Cicilo Montana in Spain are not.

EasyJet will take me to Sardinia, Crete, Cyrus, Iceland and Croatia. Anyone ridden in these places and have a recommendation?

Fly to Nice, get the train (2hr or thereabout - goes along the coast through Monaco 🙂 ) to Finale.

Absolute next level riding, stunning beach, great food and lovely place.

I have GPX files of EWS and SuperEnduro tracks too if you want them.

Hiya,
Matt from Saddle Skedaddle here. There are plenty of great options that you can get to from Nice, Malaga, Verona, Pisa etc. If you want any help/advice feel free to drop me a line at matt@skedaddle.co.uk.
Cheers, M

Pure Mountains in Sierra Nevada, pickups from Malaga. Amazing all natural trails, fantastic accommodation and very reasonably priced. What's not to like? It's the only holiday I've been on twice!

We've heard very good things about Pure Mountains too, had a few dealings with them and they seem like great folk.

Thanks folks. The problem I am having with cycling in the Sierra Nevada is the pick up and drop off times most of the companies operate. From Bristol Easyjet (Ryanair times are even worst), fly into and out of Malaga, really early or late in the day, leaving me with massive 5-10 hour waiting times at the airport. Not a great way to start and end a holiday.

Travelling to another UK airport just adds all the hassle and delay at this end (whereas Bristol is 20 minutes from my house)

Arrive from Bristol into Malaga late morning and as we are just 20 minutes from the airport we´ll collect you and have you on the trails just an hour after arrival.
Excellent singletrack rides with plenty of bus uplift during the day & lively après-bike on the coast at night.

We flew with Easyjet from Bristol to Malaga at 6am (ish)on a Friday and got picked up by Pure Mountains driver. After the transfer we had time to have some lunch, build bikes and play around on their track in the garden. Sat-Mon we had full day guiding and on Tuesday we had a half day and flew back late Tuesday night. Worked out around £400-450ish for the holiday plus flights. Not bad when you factor in free food and booze (except for one night). You'll only need about €40 spending money as there are no shops.

Mike at Switch Backs will collect you and make sure you have your bike built so you can ride that day. Enduro/DH in winter and awesome all mountain stuff in the summer.

If clients arrive at Malaga on or before mid day, we promise they will be riding with us, bikingandalucia.com that same day in the Sierra Nevada.

Although personally if I was looking for somewhere to fly from Bristol for an MTB holiday Morocco would be top of the list...

You can check out riding in Sardinia by looking at the guidebook http://www.cordee.co.uk/Mountain-Bike-Sardinia-det-0-0-0-9355.html we wrote 3 years ago and there are lots of new trails - see post I just made, cheers Peter
