I've just built my new dw 5spot, I've done the mod (cutting off the dual pull part) however the cage of the front mech looks very close to the black lower linkage.
Is this normal? I'm worried its going to gouge a chunk out of the link.
I'll post a pic later to illustrate the problem, any DW owners out there that can shed some light on the problem. The mech is an older style XTR M961 i think. Could it just be incompatible?
Wide Saint mech working fine for me here on DW 6 Point.
No problems with nex XT here. Must be an incompatible mech.
Running an X9 with no problems.
Like this? Turners have always been quite tight round the front mech due to their chuncky build. Mates horst-link one took quite a bit of playing with to get right. The m961 should be ok as its smaller than the m971 which has larger pivots.

Its only really a problem in the granny gear, Looks really tight!
