Wife's E Bike dropper is occasionally sinking anyone remind me what the fix is please?
What make/model? Some can be fixed by adding more air, some have a negative chamber release valve, some can be serviced, some are just junked
It's on a Liv E Bike so I'm guessing Giant ?

TBH mate, you need to put a bit more effort in if you want people to help you
Ok apparently it's a Contact Switch , further investigation tells me too much tension on the cable but as the bike is only about 18 .ontjs old I'm going to phone the shop tomorrowÂ
Can happen when the cable/cable end is not seated properly in the end of the post - can be a bit of a pain with an ebike to feed the cable through so you can pull the post out and check, but worth a try
Yeah took the post out replaced the cable played with the tension still no good, still just about under warranty so will push for a replacement.
Sounds like it could be the cartridge. Hopefully Giant will sort you out.
With it removed and no cable attached, does it sag.when you put weight on it? If so, it is something in the post, if solid, suggests the cable may have too much tension...

This.
In my experience with Giant contact switch droppers, they tend to get full of crap and water which collects on the actuator at the seat post end of the cable. This prevents the gas strut pin fully extending, so it seems as though the lever is depressed at the bar.Â
Remove seat post from frame pop the cable out and give it all a thorough clean and lube.Â
I tried greasing the whole actuator, but found that just catches more crud eventually. Now just dis assemble one a year and clean it all . Never sure how do much crap ends up in the frame, guess it just makes its way past the seals.
Sorry but I've done all that , even replaced the cable so it's back in the shop as it's still in warranty.
