I've always used wet lube in winter but have recently been convinced that given that I clean my bike pretty much after every ride I should be using dry lube all year ride.

What do m'learned forumista's think of that?

yep doesn't attract so much crap. I have been using Finish lines wax teflon lube. Seems to hang around a bit longer than normal dry lube whilst still keeping the drive train fairly clean. Need to apply it a few times though

Surely more than one other person uses dry lube on this forum?

I'm guessing that's dry then.

I use dry when it's actually dry, but as it is at the moment I'm using wet lube again on mtb's as the dry doesn't seem to last more than an hour in the wet sand in the woods.
Dry lube on the road bikes though, as anything else is just too heavy IMO

If doing a long ride when I know there will be some wet conditions I'll use wet lube, dry lube doesn't tend to stay on long and squeaky chains annoy me. But mostly I'll use waxy dry lube

I always use gt85 to clean then white lightning. wet chain seems to attract too much dust, especially bad when its somewhere sandy like woburn.
