Some interesting stuff on the results, take a look at who was fastest in Sector 3...

But nearly 5 seconds back in sector 1.

He did look ridiculously fast at the bottom, and he'd pulled back a couple of seconds in s2 before his crash apparently. Though different rules apply once you're out of the race.

Don't think he was on for a winner but, definitely interesting the way he smashed the hardest part, I think people expected him to be the other way round

Ah, Gwin. Sorry, I obviously didn't scroll down far enough.

Awesome race and result! Great to see Loic get his win and on such an occasion.

Proper decent finish for Mike Jones too.

let's hope he doesn't go the same way as Danny Hart.

He's a very different rider to Hart. Looks much more of a natural athlete and he's already shown he's got impressive consistency.

Think claudio called that one right, looked like a pedal dig- I thought he'd trapped the wheel on something but in the replay his weight went forward before the bike stopped.

You could hear him saying "I hit my pedal" to Minnaar when he came down

It does seem to have become a thing, it has been going on for a few years at some races, but this year it has been at most races. I think it is just a mind numbingly dull way to try and get some screen time on the coverage while annoying everyone within earshot.

I quite liked the revving chainsaws at Hafjell last year. Perhaps the novelty has worn off

Reminds me of air horns at Eastern European football matches. They don't create atmosphere, they just make noise.

My guess is they're more macho than a cowbell or wheel rim and associated with trail building

I was more bothered by the Minnar supporter in the budge smugglers

Klunk

Sounds and smells like a motorbike. Braaap etc. I saw it years ago in a video of a race at Whistler. So now it has to be done everywhere. At every race.

Special mention must go to the guy at Fort William this year who kept an eye on the start list and only started/revved the Chainsaw for british riders. Yeah, you go for it man. That's the spirit 🙄

I was very happy for Loic, he really deserved a win and seems a cool guy. Mike Jones did one hell of a run too.

Shame about Pompon and Tahnee crashing but it would have been tough to beat Rachel who is just a DH monster
