anyone willing to stump up the 45 snaps to attend?

I thought we'd been through it all once before back in 2007 though...

I thought that too- but they have changed the name of it.
Have you seen the Scottish Cycling & Forestry Commission 'preferred partner agreement' ?

Might be worth a trip to get the thinking behind that alone.

and the merry go-round of the civil service spending their careers talking about this whilst spunking hundreds of thousands on unused consultancies carries on.

preferred partner agreement? Sounds like something FC would keep in "draft" to prevent the pesky public FOI'ing it...

Got a link?

Nope. Previous conference was quite interesting and a good way to meet people, but doesn't actually seem to have resulted in a great deal. I wish the new SMBDC all the best of luck.

On a related note - what ever happened to the World Mountainbike Conference that was cancelled in 2009 and to have been postponed until 2010?

emmag - the event one? My understanding is that it's to be signed long before the SMBDC conference.

What development is needed?

The hills are full of mountainbikes. Everywhere.
