So i have an FSA 1.5 Orbit head set on a bike frame with a tapered head tube, and i want to install a set of forks with a 1 1/8th steerer.

Can i buy a crown race reducer like this Hope one and then put the 1.5 crown race over the top? Will the Hope part be compatible with FSA components?

Or is there a different solution?

Should work just fine.

Yes, it will work perfectly and is the simplest thing to do...compatible with FSA and pretty much anything.

I have that exact one going spare.

Bought it about 4 months ago and then never needed it, it's been sat in the garage ever since completely unused.

If you want it (5 quid posted sound ok?), let me know, email in profile.

If mark_b doesn't want it, I'll take it.

OK, I'll give mark_b the afternoon to let me know and if he's not interested it's yours 🙂

All being well I'll be able to post it tomorrow.

I cut a slit in my Hope one to make it a Split 1.5" Headset Reducer Crown Converter...works just as well but means its a lot simpler getting it on and off. Hope crown race has a split so couldnt see why it would make any difference if the reducer had one
