Anyone got experience of how crc handle returns on discounted orders? E.g if you'd placed a £100 order with the £17 St pats discount that had a item of normal value £20. If you then returned that item do they refund you £20, or £20 - 17% (price minus the proportioned discount for that item)?

I'd guess they'd say the order was no longer above £100 so you wouldn't be entitled to the discount so you'd get £3 back. I'm probably completely wrong though.

Hoping that's not the way it would be handled. Whilst your correct I think that would not be the best customer relations.

Hopefully not, fingers crossed! I've not been a big fan of crc lately, too slow to dispatch stuff compared to most places. It now seams to take them at least 3 days before they post anything.

If you're not replacing the item with something of similar or greater value, I would expect them to cancel the discount
Otherwise people would just order loads to get a discount and then send most of it back

Very true, didn't think they offered exchanges though.

I would read the t&cs of the offer. Then contact the supplier.

DH pants = £43
Gloves = £10
Total paid = £43 with £10 discount on plus £50

Returned pants week later for full refund + size change - was refunded the £43 so gloves cost £0.

They are supposed to remove the discount code but I get the impression that they often don't bother - either as it's complex for the system or as good will or both. I often am encouraged to buy something due to the discount so it's nice they do still apply it. I would hope people don't go abusing this though or they may be forced to be more strict.

I normally ask for an exchange for something else so I don't lose out on the discount anyway.

If it's a gift voucher (not a discount code) then they will re-issue the voucher for you to use again.

They are a bit slow but they have always come good for me in the end. Just exchanged some bars with them which were bought with a gift voucher and they applied it to the new bars no problem.
