Return it. 'tis the decent (and legal?) thing to do.

Keep it. Call it karma for all the wheels they've sold which are supposed to be hand built but are in fact machine built. With a bad tendency to fail spectacularly.

Email them and explain it to them, but tell them you dont want to pay for the postage cost to return it. Ask them for some money to be put into your account to cover it, or ask them to get a courier to collect it.

Seems unfair that you should apy postage for it to be returned (probably about £7-8 or so). They might even see it as too much hassle and just sack it off and let you keep it.

taka - knowing that crc use this forum and that you have an email address in your profile that's probably the same as the one you use to order from them I'd expect that you'd be emailing them asap now you've 'fessed up in public.

they do know where you live, after all.

If you hang onto stuff you know you haven't paid for and haven't told CRC about, you're nicking the wheel. Give them the chance to do a freepost or pay you to return it and as davidtaylforth said, they may just tell you to keep it. It might be free to you, but look at all the posts complaining about stock levels and prices recently, your 50 quid has to come out of everyones pockets. Sounds a bit preaching I know, but ultimately you seem to know what the right thing to do is.

Hi all, update for you.

Taka has been in touch after we spent a bit of time looking into all this and it seems that (according to Taka) that this was a merely hypothetical question as he has not received a wheel at all.

This would match more with our records as we were confused at why no such order could be located, we now know why.

So thank you to all that told him the best thing to do would be to be honest and contact us, thanks for the support.

Andy.
