Wondered if anyone can help explain what’s going on here, had my capra 4 years now and I’ve had the BB, chain and chainring just as wearing parts.

However I’ll go on say a 10 mile ride and maybe 3 times on the ride the cranks will essentially spin a tad and can be under load/no load. Under load it’s worse as it makes a loud metallic bang sound and definitely feels like it’s through the cranks, the cranks themselves look fine when removed, wondered if anyone can suggest what might be happening?

Good shout! I have had it out and even had it cleaned and regreased but thank you I reckon it’s likely it could be that. They’re DT Swiss with only a few pawls with not too much engagement so would explain. Will take another look thank you

I would echo the above and think an intermittant oroblem with the drive in the freehub. It feels like BB as thats where you are connected.

What make are the wheels? I think some YT use pawl ratchet DT hubs
