Looking for a courier/messenger bag for my daughter to use for when she bikes into school. She doesn't like rucksacks so figured this would be the best option.

Thing is, most I've seen don't have a waist/stabiliser strap so is more likely to spin around when she's got it on (she's quite skinny)

Any recommendations for ones which look cool but don't budge when on?

Of course she doesn't like pink either..;-)

budget under £50 if possible.

cheers

I used a standard one with a home made (velcro basically) waist strap which worked perfectly.

My Timbuk 2 had a stabiliser strap stuffed inside when I bought it, which is invaluable.

Don't know if they've changed since 1996, or got more expensive than £50?

northface base camp messenger, good shape for books, folders or even laptops, durable as anything and under 50 notes

Boom. And it's pink too.

£42.

i have one in black and it does have a stabilising strap that works fine.

Edit: note to self: READ THE POST - she doesn't like pink... other colours are available.

We weren't sure if the small NF one would be big enough, although exactly what she'll need to take to her new high school I don't know. I'm sure it's changed a little since I was there (god I sound old).

Personally I think the Schwalbe one is nice, but it's a little too boyish for her.

www.timbuk2.com THEY are awesome. However you need a small to get the middle strap (XS would probably be too small for a school bag anyway). I'm not a fan of courier bags for riding as I've found even with the middle strap it doesn't stop it swinging. But I do love timbuk 2 bags. Crumpler??

Not quite £50 but I haven't searched elsewhere. They will last forever though. I've had my years and it still looks new!

custom timbuk2 - but would be likely more than £50. They are ace though and last and last.
