they don't stay new looking for long, do they ... ?

I put some nice blue ones on my Bird a few weeks back and they are now a grubby manky blue - black ones would still look mint.

I think I'll be binning them when they are worn and go back to black !

So you wear gloves? I had some orange ergon grips on my last bike and always wore gloves, they had no colour change at all.

hmmm, yes, gloves all the time, grips are Ergon GE1 - maybe I need to give them a better clean !

No place for coloured contact points on a modern mountain bike.  Coloured grips always look grubby, gloves or no gloves post ride.  Always black! Everyone knows that

Fit helicopter tape to them.

@iainc - are you using the same gloves that you were previously using with black grips? I've got some Ergon grips and they come up nice and clean with a quick wipe when cleaning the bike, had them for over 6 months with no discolouration.

Coloured grips are the sign of an absolute lunatic. Possibly one with grubby hands.
